A friendly and competitive environment catering for ambitious youngsters from ten/eleven years old. In a competitive atmosphere, emphasis is placed upon developing skills in all four competitive strokes as well as building a sound base of strength and fitness. Members are expected to attend as many of the structured training sessions as possible to benefit from the full competitive program. Members are also required to participate in open meet competitions each term and league galas when selected. There are no set speed criteria to enter squads, but swimmers will be given a trial prior to joining to see if they like it and to ensure that they meet the required training standard.

Policy for maintaining squad status

Swimmers will be assessed on an annual basis over a mixture of factors:-

1)      Attendance records;

2)      Behaviour records;

3)      Training Performance.

Should the squad be at capacity, swimmers not meeting an appropriate standard across the above criteria may be asked to move to Development squad or leave the club.
