On this page you will find information and guidance about clubs’ and members’ responsibility towards children and young people in the sport.

Wavepower 2016/19 is the ASA’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedures manual folder and replaces all previous ASA Child Protection Policies and Procedures documents.

As an ASA affiliated club we are looking to adopt and implement the Policies and Procedures contained in this manual. It contains mandatory requirements, practical information and good practice guidance all in one place and can be found here.

In the meantime, below are the policies that have been adopted by Thanet Swim Club. We expect more to follow.

Code of Conduct for Coaches v1.0

Code of Conduct for Committee Members v1.0

Code of Conduct for Parents v1.0

Code of Conduct for Swimmers v1.0

Managing Behaviour v1.0

Disputes and Disciplinary Procedure v1.0

Safeguarding Policy v1.0

Equity Policy v1.0

Recognition and Rewards Policy v1.0

mobile device and social media policy v1.0

Below also find an invaluable guide for parents who are new to swimming!
