After guiding the club for the past 4 years, Scott Miles has taken the decision to step down as Chairman after the Clubs presentation evening. During this time, the club has seen significant change including:-
“I would like to thank everyone who has been involved with the club, from those that volunteer time to help on the committee, all the coaches, those that run the club shop, our social media volunteers to those that help us host fantastic open meets. The club is now in a very strong and healthy position, which will allow it to continue to grow and improve.
It has been a fantastic honour to lead the club to where it is today and I am immensely proud of its achievements. I wish the committee and the new Chairman the very best.”
The committee will be electing a new chairman in due course.
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Graham Terry, lead coach of the Seals intro squad. Graham has provided us with 15 years of devoted service, working with the club when it was formed within our Junior squad, then taking over our Intermediate squad to now being our Seals lead coach.
Graham’s attention to skills development and making swimming enjoyable, whilst installing a culture of discipline, has been invaluable. Graham was part of the coaching team that helped develop the structure of the club and build the foundations for it to succeed, as it is today.
Grahams last session will be on Wednesday 28th September. We all wish Graham the very best for his time away from swimming.
The club are also pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Panteli, as the new Seal lead coach. Lindsay has been working with Graham during recent times and has a strong background with the club and specifically coaching younger swimmers, having previously worked with our Seahawk and Dolphin junior squads. We wish her good luck in the role.
The club have a few roles that require helpers:-
