Details of the Festive County Qualifier, South Zonal Championships and Kent Championships have now been uploaded to the Seahawk and/or Dolphin gala pages. Please submit entries using the ‘Thanet entry form’ provided and note the following closing date for entries:
Festive County Qualifier: Monday 24th November
South Zonal Championships: Monday 22nd December
Kent Championships: Early January; Thanet entry form & confirmed closing date coming soon.
Would any swimmers like to take part in the Rotary Club’s Swimathon taking place this Saturday (18th Oct) at Hartsdown? The Rotary Club is able to take a couple of more teams. You need a team of 6 swimmers. The team takes turns to swim for a session of 55 minutes. Available slots are on Saturday afternoon. You will need to get some sponsors in advance. Appreciate its very short notice! Your sponsorship money will go 50% to Rotary Club Sponsored Charities (Oasis Domestic Abuse, Scoliosis, Eradication of Polio, Margate Millenium Fund) and 50% to the Swim Club. There is a trophy for the team that swims the most lengths in the 55 minutes. If you would like to take part please email TSC_secretary@btinternet.com in advance for forms and further information.

The draw is as follows:-
Gala 1 Guildford A, Portsmouth, Wycombe, Guildford B, Staines, Newbury
Gala 2 Thanet, Sevenoaks, Rushmoor, Bracknell, Bromley, Chelmsford
Gala 3 Beckenham, Oxford, Woking, Windsor, RTW, Amersham
After a frantic race to make the Arena League gala in Woking, the team (chosen from Seahawks and Dolphins) performed exceptionally to outpoint Portsmouth Northsea and win the gala.
The atmosphere was electric all night and every swimmer gave 100% for the team. With headbands, war paint and tattoo’s the team looked the great!
Well done to everyone and roll on Round 2 on the 8th November.
