Thanet Swim Club

With the merger planned to come into force from 1st September, we are aiming to introduce a new club kit to coincide with this event. Please see the “online shop” page for details.

Given the cost involved in replacing club kit, both Margate and Thanet have agreed to subsidise the initial orders. Therefore for orders made up to 1st September, we will be subsidising up to 50% of the cost.

To keep the identity of the Margate squad, we will also have the dolphin included on the right chest.

Q&A with Dan Cross

Congratulations to Jordan Honour for winning the District Try Angle Award.  The Try Angle Awards run by Kent County Council are this year celebrating their 20th Anniversary. Founded in 1994 the awards were put together to celebrate the efforts and achievements of young people.

Jordan was nominated by his head of house at School Mrs Leal. The nomination was for recognising personal achievement in the sports or outdoor activities, demonstrating sportsmanship, FairPlay & commitment.

At the ceremony Jordan was named as district winner in this category. He will now be put forward to see if he’s selected to be one of the ‘spirit of Try Angle’ finalists later this year

After a number of months of discussions and working together, I am very pleased to announce the merger of Margate Swimming club which will commence from 1st September.

Over the next few weeks, we will be working through the details and further information will be released to all via Joint statements.

This was a historic decision for both clubs and will result in the Club being of a size to offer a full range of swimming as well as catering for all types of swimmers and abilities.
