Thanet Swim Club

The club have been competing at the South East Regionals over the past month. With our largest number of swimmers, we were well represented in both the 15/over and 14/under championships.

Against some of the best clubs in the country (Guildford, Wycombe, Portsmouth etc) we enjoyed fantastic swims with a huge medal haul.

Regional champions from the club include:-

• Olivia Miles (200m Butterfly, 400m I.M)
• Lucy Hickmott (50m Freestyle)
• Kieran Dale (200m Butterfly)
• Alex Boyd (50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, 200m I.M, 400m I.M, 100m Breaststroke)
• Daisy Anderson (200m Butterfly, 400m I.M, 100m Butterfly, 200m I.M.)
• Rosanna Arnold (400m I.M)
• Max Jameson (200m Backstroke, 400m I.M , 200m Butterfly)
• Maisie Macartney (200m Freestyle)
• Girls 14-16 yrs old  (4 x 200m Freestyle)

The clubs 15th annual presentation evening will be taking place on the 26th November 2016. This year we will be celebrating our anniversary at a new venue and on a Saturday evening, starting at 5pm and closing at 1am.

This Saturday the club will be hosting the Thanet Primary Schools gala. Please note that this gala will be busy and as in previous years, we will be expecting a large support. Therefore will be using a queueing system for the 2nd session. Please bear with us.

Session 1  Start 12 noon – swimmers please report to your team manager in plenty of time before start. Team Managers please advise Lynn Gates on the recorders desk of any deletions or amendments by 11.45am to allow time for processing.

Session 2 Start 3pm – swimmers  please report to your team manager in plenty of time before start. Team Managers please advise Lynn Gates on the recorders desk of any deletions or amendments by 2.45pm to allow time for processing.
