Best night ever

On Saturday, for the first time, the club had two teams entered into the National Arena League team competition.

Our A team, competing in the premier league, had to travel to Portsmouth. Whilst our B team, in Division 2, were at home in their first gala.

Both teams competing against tough competition enjoyed fantastic support and showed real team spirit. Face paint and tattoos on show, got everyone going and the balcony support was immense.

After the initial relay events it was very tight at both galas, but we had the edge, leading the points scored.
Some fantastic swims then took place with every swimmer putting in maximum effort to gain valuable points for the teams.

In Portsmouth, there were stand out pb swims from Ben Evans, Jordon Honour, Jamie O’Connor, Max Jameson, Olivia Miles, Robyn Moon and Elloise Clements, but most of all the 2004 borns, who won every race in the boys and girls category.

At Hartsdown, there were fantastic swims across the board, with exceptional swims from every member of the team. Highlights were the relay events where we dominated proceedings. Some of the great pbs included Sam Crabtree, Abbie Robinson, Anna Jameson, Oscar Macartney  and Poppy Carr.

At the end of the night, both teams were run away winners:-

  1. Thanet A.  235 points
  2. Portsmouth 191 points
  3. Staines 176 points
  4. Rushmoor 168 points
  5. Guildford B 151 points
  6. Winchester 130 points
  1. Thanet B  259 points
  2. Herne Bay 228 points
  3. Bromley B 215 points
  4. Larkfield  130 points
  5. Shepway B 121 points
  6. Tonbridge 88 points

Well done everyone and roll on Round 2.
