Thanet Swim Club

Over 100 people enjoyed the fun and games at the club Beach BBQ on Sunday. With volleyball, surfing, tug of war, football and swimming in the sea, there was plenty to do.

A massive thank you goes to both Chris Pantelli for the use of his amazing BBQ and Jason Llewellyn for providing the burgers and sausages.

Special mention also goes to Ben Pond on achieving the burger challenge of eating a 1.5 pounder, and final thanks to the hardened beach bums, who stayed to the 8pm when we finally packed up.

Despite an ever changing forecast, the club BBQ will go ahead tomorrow. Be prepared for any weather!

We hope everyone has enjoyed the summer break and is raring to get back for another season on swimming.

The club will be hosting our Summer Beach BBQ on Sunday open to all club members. Taking place at Botany Bay (Kingsgate) from 2pm, we hope to have some fun and games. It is a great way to catch up following the summer break and get to know others in the club.

We hope the weather is kind to us and look forward to seeing as many of you there.
