McDonalds swimathon

We are delighted to have been involved with McDonalds in tonight’s swimathon at Hartsdown, raising money to two fantastic charities. (Swim for all in Thanet and RMHC Camberwell House)

Over 100 McDonalds employees, split across 18 teams, swimming in relays were joined by a team of Thanet swim club swimmers who were called upon as team “jokers”, enabling the employees to take a quick breather in their swimming.

A massive thank you goes to the following swimmers for turning out for the club:-

Raising over £3,800 the event was a huge success.

Kent Junior League

The A team visited Medway Park, to compete in the re-arranged Kent Junior League round 1.

Facing tough competition from Bromley and RTW, the team showed character and resilience to come out on top, after some amazing team swimming.

Final results

Thanet   258, Bromley  234, RTW  208, Black Lion  179, Sevenoaks B 109 and Dover 77
