Season 2014/15 – Chairman statement

It has been a fantastic year for achievements and one that has announced the club to the swimming world. With amazing results at the recent British and ASA Nationals, it has brought a close to one of our best ever years.

This year saw our 2nd GB swimmer, Jamie O’Connor, being picked to compete in the Youth Olympics. (We wish our 1st GB swimmer, Katie Latham and her twin sister Alice, the very best as then move on to University.)

Another sign of the development of the club is how well we performed in the team events, with our first ever Kent Junior League win as well as qualifying for the South District Arena League final for the first time and then going one better and making the National B final.

Our first season as a combined club, the improvements have been beyond belief and I would like thank the efforts of the coaching teams and committee for creating a plan that should see the club continue to grow and improve long into the future.

I hope that everyone enjoys the down time during the club break and comes back in September ready to see where we can get next season.

Thank you

Scott
