Thanet Swim Club

Today we had 2 swimmers competing, Katie Latham in the 100m Backstroke and Rosie Arnold in the 200m Breaststroke.

Competing against the best in the UK, Rosie qualified for the Junior Final. Swimming a pb of 2:35.05, she finished in 6th place.

Well done to both swimmers.

The Olympic trials started today, where the club had three swimmers competing. With swimmers such as Adam Peaty, James Guy, Michael Jamieson, Ross Murdock and Hannah Miley swimming, it is amazing for the club to have 7 swimmers qualify.

• Ben Evans & Jamie O’Connor both swum in the 400m Freestyle
• Rosie Arnold swum in the 400m Individual Medley.

All three had impressive swims, with Jamie O’Connor qualifying for the Junior Final, where he stormed to an early lead before being caught on the last 50m to finish 4th.
