Thanet Swim Club

The Kent County Championships continued this weekend at Crystal Palace.

With 200m and 100m stroke events, the club were very well represented with some outstanding swims despite the extremely late finishes.

Special mention to the 2001 girls (Maisie, Daisy and Robyn), the 2004 boys (Ali, Max, Connor, Oscar) where we enjoyed clean sweep of top three finishes.

Other Gold medals included Liam Pearshouse, Kieran Dale, Alex Boyd, Jamie O’Connor, Lucy Hickmott.

Well done to everyone who competed for the club and to all the volunteers and officials who assisted over the weekend.

The club have been featured in a Charity challenge of 100 sports in 100 days.

We are pleased to confirm that all entries have been accepted for our Junior Development Gala in February. Accepted Entries List 

With entries from 11 clubs, the gala is a great chance of younger swimmers to taste competition and have a chance of winning some money.

The gala timings are as follows:-

Session 1  

• Warm up Thanet swimmers 11.30am
• Warm up All other swimmers 12.00pm
• Start 12.40pm
• Finish 3.40pm

• Skins competition

Session 2

• Warm up commences 4.45pm
• Start 5.45pm
• Finish 8.10pm

The club has had some fantastic results in the long distance weekend of Kents 2016.
