Kent Junior League

What a fantastic night, the club enjoyed one of it’s best Saturday’s.

In the Kent Junior League team competition, our A team retained the trophy of overall winners, and our B team, in their first year, came joint first to obtain promotion to the top division.

In Saturday’s final rounds, all the top 6 teams battle it out for glory. Amazingly, against the best teams in Kent, our A team stormed through with consistent strong swimming, winning their gala from Sevenoaks and Bromley. Our B team, against very tough competition had came through strongly on the relays to finish joint 1st with Barking & Dagenham. The result put our B team 2nd in the final league table, gaining promotion to join the A team in Division 1.

Both teams enjoyed a well earned feast after the gala.

Arena League Rd 2

Following a successful first round, our A & B teams entered their galas as favourites.

Not to disappoint, both teams dug deep to perform excellently against very tough competition.

The A team at home, started well, however  Sevenoaks were close on their heals. However as the individuals progressed the gap started to increase. There were too many fantastic performances to identify individuals, as everyone put in a shift for the team. They ended the winners by 40 points.

The B team travelled Crook Log, where the electronic timing had a mind of its own. The team started very well, but had Beacon hot on their tails. Great swims and close finishes throughout the night, kept it close. At the end, we came out winners by 24 points.

Both teams now progress to their respective finals, with the A team having a possible chance of making the National Final and the B team, a chance to get promoted.
