Thanet Schools Triathlon

The inaugral Thanet Schools Triathlon was organised as a partnership between Thanet Swim Club, Thanet Go-Ride Cycling Club and Thanet Athletics Club and held at St Lawrence College on a surprisingly sunny Sunday Morning!

41 boys and girls who took part in the Triathlon, many who were from Thanet Swim Club. Below are the podium finishes with Thanet Swimmers (highlighted in bold) securing 1st place in 6 out of 10 age groups!

Year 5 Girls – 1st Beth Williams (Dame Janet), 2nd Sommer Ansley (Haddon Dene), 3rd Millie Homewood (St Nicholas-at-Wade)

Year 5 Boys – 1st Thomas King (St Nicholas-at-Wade), 2nd George Pittock (Birchington), 3rd Alex Boyd (Upton)

Year 6 Girls – 1st Katie Burton (Upton), 2nd Cara Payne (St Nicholas-at-Wade), 3rd Holly Cleveland (St Peter’s)

Year 6 Boys – 1st Jack Baker (Upton), 2nd Josh Jones (Upton), 3rd Zack Rothman (Haddon Dene)

Year 7 Girls – 1st Beatrice Lever (Chatham & Clarendon), 2nd Megan Griffin (Chatham & Clarendon)

Year 7 Boys – 1st Louis Thomas (Charles Dickens), 2nd Josh Richards (Charles Dickens), 3rd Ed Miles (Chatham & Clarendon)

Year 8 Girls – 1st Kelsey Fuss (Dane Court), 2nd Charlotte Day (Ursuline College)

Year 8 Boys – 1st Louis Spurgin (Chatham & Clarendon), 2nd Ally Kinloch (Chatham & Clarendon), 3rd Scott Ward (Chatham & Clarendon)

Year 9 Boys – 1st Sean Bryant (Chatham & Clarendon)

Year 10 Boys – 1st Daniel Hill (Ursuline College), 2nd Owen Walton (Ursuline College)
