Congratulations to our Arena League teams at the weekend:
Our A-team came second with 185 points to Oxford who scored 249 in the South Premier Division Gala 2 at the Guildford Spectrum.  The team have placed 6th in the Premier Division which sees them go into the Southern Final on the 8th December. Swimmers who won their individual races included: Daisy, Max, Archie, Olivia-P and Alex.
Our B-team put in a valiant effort in the Division 1 East Gala 3 at  Brighton finishing in fourth place with 124 / 145 points (factor applied for 5-team gala).  Swimmers who won their individual races included: Olivia-M, Maria, Kieran and Oscar-M.

Well done to our Competition Squad swimmers that competed at the Dartford & Erith Fireworks meet over the weekend of the 3-4th November. Our squad of 24 swimmers took away loads of medals, top-six ribbons, heat wins and PBs!

Massive congratulations to our team of 13 swimmers that really excelled at the SE Region Winter Short Course Championships over the weekend of 3-4th November.
We won a haul of 11 Gold, 5 Silver & 1 Bronze open age group medals and 1 Gold junior medal. Unfortunately due to a lack of Officials the finals were limited to only six swimmers.  The competition was also subject to a fire alarm evacuation!

Introducing and welcoming Alan Londesbrough to Team Thanet as our new Age Group Performance Coach
Alan has a long background in swimming having coached at Black Lion SC for 10 years and has performed the role of Head Coach since June 2015. Alan is a Level 2 Swim Coach for both pool and open water disciplines. Alan is a retired Police Officer. He is also former swimmer, reaching National level with City of Leeds Swimming Club, he has also competed in open water racing up to 10km!
